Sherlock watched John reading whatever crime novel currently engaged him. Sherlock sighed, those books were painfully obvious, anybody could guess the cookoo clock was hidden under the third floorboard to the left of the door in the victim's bedroom.

Sherlock tapped his fingers. John didn't stir. Sherlock tutted loudly, still no response. Why did John read them? Sherlock would deny it to the grave, but John was much smarter than those books. Almost, not quite, but almost as smart as Sherlock himself.

Sherlock had a real mystery for John. Why was he attracted to John? Sherlock couldn't answer this one.
