ARGH! When I jump I'm supposed to land on Dry land, not in water! I kicked hard, reaching the surface of the tossing mass. I must be at sea. I looked around, where was I and why? I  saw two boats a little way off, side by side.

 

"Hey," I yelled waving my arms. going under in the process. I watched something tossed overboard from one of the boats, a life ring? Well it wouldn't be much use there! I'm over here.

 

I started swimming towards it.

 

"I told you to swim, boy! Now they'll kill you!"

 

Guns. Oh, boy.

I looked around me, I was in a large battered car. A large man sat next to me, eating a sugary donut. He was in a  --

 

"Dammit Brentforth, drive!" the man yelled around a mouthful. I smiled apologetically, putting the car into drive. So, I'm Brentforth, huh?

 

The man next to me spat in irritation, leaning across and snatching a lever up. Sirens started wailing! "I know yer green, but yer ain't that green!" he yelled pointing. "After him, he's getting away!"

 

I'm a cop. Oh, boy!

"Tell us another story, Camp Leader," chanted a group of voices. I opened my eyes to see a group of children staring at me around a fire. Maybe this would be nice for once, surely I was due a break from nearly getting someone killed!

 

"Hmm, a story?" I said, stalling.

 

"Yeah, a story! And can we toast more marshmallows Stacy… I mean Camp leader!" the child blushed but I had no reply. I'm Stacy?

 

"Why's the baby in your tummy? Did you get hungry on a camp trip too?"

The first thing I was aware of was a metallic tune. Like that of an ice cream van. I opened my eyes and stretched, God, I ached!

 

Knock, knock!

 

I looked up taking in my surroundings. It was a small space, cluttered with boxes and a small chair. I picked a box up 'Alex's Ice'. Hmm

 

Knock knock! "Hey, Mister, you selling?" I located the voice. A small boy was outside the vehicle looking in hopefully through a hatch.

 

So this was an ice cream van! Finally, something fun! "Sure thing kid, what'da you want?"

 

Where did they keep ice-creams?
